Everything you want to know

Clear answers about pricing, payment, safety and support.

How does the price-offer system work, in detail?

Instead of a fixed price imposed by the app, the rider and driver agree on the fare inside the app — just as they do on the street, but transparently and safely:

  1. You set your pickup and destination; the app shows a suggested price, the distance and the expected time.
  2. Your request reaches nearby drivers, and each sends an offer: they accept the suggested price or adjust it.
  3. You see every offer with the driver's name, rating, car and arrival time, sorted by cheapest, fastest or best-rated.
  4. You accept the offer that suits you; the trip starts and you track the driver live on the map.
Illustrative example: a trip from Al-Muhandiseen to the University of Mosul (7.4 km, ~18 min). The app suggests 4,000 IQD:
DriverOfferRatingArrives in
Driver A4,000 IQD4.9 ★6 min
Driver B3,750 IQD ✓4.8 ★4 min
Driver C5,000 IQD5.0 ★2 min

The rider picked Driver B — cheapest and close. In a hurry, they might have picked C. Figures are for illustration only.

Is payment cash or electronic?

Cash to the driver is the main method today, and you pay only the amount in the offer you accepted — no surprise add-ons.

The app also has a wallet for refunds, compensation and promotions, usable inside the app. Local electronic payment methods are being added city by city and appear in the app once enabled. Your card details never pass through our servers.

How is the suggested price calculated? Is there a minimum and a maximum?

The suggested price is based on the actual road distance (not a straight line), the expected trip time, your city's tariff and the car category if you choose one. Very short trips have a minimum fare.

  • Maximum: no driver can offer more than twice the suggested price. If the suggestion is 4,000 IQD, the highest possible offer is 8,000 IQD.
  • Minimum: offers cannot drop below a floor that protects drivers from losing money.
  • At peak times the tariff may rise — this is always shown before you request.

And you decide: no trip starts until you accept an offer.

What if a driver declines or cancels the trip?
  • No offers, or none you like: your request is automatically re-sent to nearby drivers several times, and the search radius widens gradually.
  • No driver within 15 minutes: the request is cancelled automatically at no charge, with an apology that no drivers are currently available.
  • The driver cancels after you accepted: no fee for you; your request goes straight back to searching, and the cancellation is recorded on the driver's account.
  • You cancel: free before accepting an offer. After acceptance, a cancellation fee may apply where enabled in your city — the amount is shown before you confirm.
How do I contact support if I have a problem?

Fastest: inside the app → Support → New complaint. It reaches us linked to your trip and its number (e.g. SA-260923-4829173), so we don't have to ask you for details.

Lost something? Report it in the app as soon as possible and we'll help you reach the driver.

Is the app safe? How do you protect my data?
  • Sign-in with a one-time code sent to your phone — we will never ask you for it.
  • Verified drivers: no driver can work before our team reviews their ID, driving licence, vehicle documents and profile photo.
  • Transparent trips: you see the driver's photo, name, car and plate before boarding, track them live, and every trip has a reference number.
  • Two-way ratings keep bad actors out; violating accounts are suspended.
  • Your data: connections are encrypted, we never sell your data, card details never touch our servers, and you can delete your account from the app.

About us

Sarie — an Iraqi app from Mosul

An Iraqi ride-hailing platform built on price offers, founded in 2026.

Why we built Sarie. The market lacked a ride-hailing app that reflects how things actually work. On Iraqi streets, rider and driver agree on the fare before the ride — yet apps impose a fixed price that ignores traffic, road conditions and what both sides consider fair.

So we built Sarie to bring that reality online: the driver offers a price and the rider chooses — plus what the street can't offer: verified drivers, live tracking, ratings, a reference number for every trip and accountable support.

Our vision

To be the leading mobility app in every Iraqi governorate — the choice riders and drivers both trust.

Our mission

Fair, safe mobility at a price both sides agree on, with local technology that understands our cities, neighbourhoods and language.

For riders

A price you choose, and a driver you know before you get in.

For drivers

Fair income you set yourself, a clear commission, and a wallet you run from your phone.
